Welcome to TELEIOS International School of Ministry!

TELEIOS International School of Ministry  (TEISM) is a division (DBA) of Upper Room Fellowship Ministry (URFM).

  

  • We are committed to assisting believers all over the world to “grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ” (2 Peter 3:18), and become all that the heavenly Father desires for His beloved sons and daughters.


  • We believed pirit, teaching them to observe all that I commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:19-20).


  • We believe that the Bible alone—Sola Scriptura, is the ultimate authority for Christian faith and practice. We believe that salvation is by grace alone—Sola Gratia, through faith alone—Sola Fide, in Jesus’ name alone—Solus Christus, for the glory of God alone—Soli Deo Gloria. 


  • We believe that the Living Word of God is instrumental in the mind renewal—metanoia, and the Holy Spirit is instrumental in the spiritual transformation—metamorphosis of the believer. 


  • Furthermore, we believe that every born again believer is called to aspire to attaining the "fullness of Christ" (Ephesians 4:13).

Learning Objectives:


  • To gain a more in-depth understanding of the Bible and recognize the authority of the inerrant Word of God.
  • To be equipped to study the Bible on your own without relying on somebody else’s interpretation, increase your knowledge of God in His way of working, and strengthen your personal faith.
  • To become familiar with key principles and practices in biblical hermeneutics (i.e., interpretation), which seeks to discover contemporary relevance and meaning of the biblical text.
  • To develop skills in the reading and interpretation of the Bible that enables contemporary disciples to study the text critically, to listen to the text carefully, and to engage the text faithfully.
  • To equip Christ’s disciples how to discern the truth from lies, and how to defend the truth in the post-truth culture.

  Learning Objectives:

  

  • To understand, using Scriptures, that discipleship is a mandatory (not just optional) spiritual function of the Church. The Great Commission from Matthew 28:19-20 was, is, and it is going to be the vision of Christ for His Church – to go, to make, and to teach disciples.
  • To learn that discipleship is a ministry of multiplication not just mere addition. Jesus Christ continues to call, even today, people from all ethnic groups to become His disciples despite of all difficulties.  
  • To explore the main characteristics of a genuine disciple and to present simple and direct principles of studying the Bible as an important part of the discipleship process.
  • To grow as Christ’s disciple and to mature as a mentor to become “thoroughly equipped for every good work” (1 Timothy 3:17), and to make disciples who make disciples (2 Timothy 2:2).

The FLESH - The Major Obstacle towards Spiritual Maturity

Learning Objectives:


  • To comprehend, using Scriptures, that spiritual maturity is the very will of God not just an optional spiritual function of the Church for the “select few.” God ordained spiritual offices in the Church for this very purpose – “for the equipping of the saints” (Ephesians 4:12) so ALL attain the “fullness of Christ” (Ephesians 4:13).
  • To understand scripturally that God did not save us only to go to heaven when we die but to reflect the “image of Christ” (2 Corinthians 3:18) here on earth for the sake of others. The apostle Paul agonizes over this vision of Christ crying out, “My children, with whom I am again in labor until Christ is formed in you” (Galatians 4:19).
  • To explore the main characteristics of each category of spiritual maturity: children in faith, adolescents in faith, and mature men (or spiritual parents) in faith. 
  • To define and describe the process of spiritual growth and maturity (or spiritual formation) and to provide tools for growth.

Learning Objectives:


  • To show, using Scriptures, that there are two ways, or two patterns, of living the Christian life: 1. According to the flesh (Romans 8:5a), and 2. According to the Spirit (Romans 8:5b). 


  • To define the flesh (false-self) and explore the typical nuances flesh, such us: 1. The proud flesh, 2. The controlling flesh, 3. The idolater flesh 4. The rejecting flesh, 5. The self-protective flesh, 6. The victim-type flesh. 


  • To describe the process of laying aside the old-self and putting on the new-self.


  • To direct disciples, using Scriptures, towards a much clearer victory over the false-self.

Learning Objectives:

 

  • To biblically define the Cross and to demonstrate using Scriptures, the correlation between the work of the cross and spiritual formation in the life of Christ’s disciples. 


  • To explain, using Scriptures, that the Cross is central to Christianity and biblical spirituality (Galatians 2:20, 1 Corinthians 2:2). 


  • To indicate that the cross and suffering are part of the Christian life.


  • To make clear, using the Bible, spiritual books, and personal examples, that discipleship and the cross are intimately connected.

Learning Objectives:


  • To teach, using the Bible, spiritual books, and personal examples, that what happened at spiritual birth (2 Corinthians 5:17 and Ephesians 2:10) is a radical thing that influences not only what happens with us after we die, but affects our identity and how we live here on earth. 


  • To define, using Scriptures, the spiritual identity of Christians, and to teach that spiritual identity plus discipleship leads to spiritual growth and maturity.


  • To understand biblically that a correct understanding regarding spiritual identity is fundamental for living successful, satisfying, happy, fun, secure and peaceful lives. 


  • To mentor disciples towards a correct belief system about themselves and to assist them in cultivating a truthful relationship with God. 

FREE in Christ—Understanding Spiritual Warfare

Learning Objectives:


  • To demonstrate, using Scriptures, that spiritual warfare is real and must be fought according to the Bible. To understand that a significant principle in the case of a war, one must know one’s enemies. 


  • To mentor disciples towards a biblical view of the devil and his demons. To remind that when Jesus sent His disciples to preach the gospel, He gave them power over the enemy (Matthew 10:1). The same is true today with Christ’s disciples.


  • To expose, using the Bible, spiritual books, and personal examples, the modus operandi of the enemy.


  • To properly equip the disciples in the field of spiritual warfare so that they: 1. Will resist the devil (1 Peter 5:9), 2. Will not be ignorant of his schemes (2 Corinthians 2:11), and 3. They will not give the devil an opportunity (Ephesians 4:27). 


  • To mentor willing disciples how to stand firm and how to experience freedom and victory in Christ. 

FRUITS & GIFTS - Developing a Genuine Intimacy with the Holy Spirit

Learning Objectives:


  • To show, using Scriptures, that the presence of the Spirit and the manifestation of the spiritual gifts are for the church of all ages, including the 21st-century church (Acts 2:39).


  • To teach all disciples that each believer has received at least one spiritual gift (1 Corinthians 1, and Romans 12:3-8).


  • To demonstrate, using the Bible, spiritual books, and personal examples, that there is no genuine spiritual maturity without the presence of spiritual fruit in a believer’s life. The real badge of a disciple is to bear much fruit (John 15:8).


  • To mentor willing disciples into understanding their own calling and gifts. To equip disciples to better serve in the Body of Christ and to teach them how to “kindle afresh the gift of God” (1 Timothy 1:6) entrusted to them by the Spirit. 


  • To lay the foundation from which each willing disciple can develop a genuine intimacy with the Holy Spirit.

Learning Objectives:    

  

  • To Understanding the Nature and Role of Emotions in Spiritual Life: Introduce participants to the significant role of human emotions in God’s design. Explore how emotions are interwoven with the process of progressive sanctification. Identify the impact of unprocessed emotions on spiritual maturity and interrelationships. 


  • To Learn how Emotions are Connected to Spiritual Maturity: Establish the truth that “it is impossible to be spiritually mature while remaining emotionally immature.” Examine how emotional immaturity can hinder spiritual growth, ministry effectiveness, and impact on the community.


  • To Understand that  Jesus’ New Commandment: “Love one another, even as I have loved you” (John 13:34) implies a holistic love—engaging spirit, soul (mind, emotions, will), and body. Therefore, inner transformation for authentic outward expression of love. 


  • To Explain that nobody can bury their emotional wounds, like shame, rejection, grief, etc. Therefore, unhealed pain will manifest in various areas of life, hindering spiritual maturity. 


  • To Create and Maintain a Safe Spirit-led, grace-filled environment for emotional healing and spiritual growth. Encourage people to seek counseling when needed.
