URFM – Quick Introduction:

History and Calling:

In 1995, Valy and Elena heard about Exchanged Life Ministries (ELM) on a Christian radio station. Convinced that this is God’s calling for them, they enrolled in the Advanced Training Institute (ATI) offered by ELM. They learned about Christ & Cross–centered Christian discipleship & counseling approach.

In 1996, responding to God’s calling in their heart, Valy, Elena, and two other family friends, responded to God’s calling in their hearts and founded Upper Room Fellowship Ministry (URFM).

The Ministry’s Name:

The name of this ministry was inspired from the spiritual experiences, such us: healing and deliverance (1 Kings 17:19, 23, Acts 9:37, 39), intimate fellowship and communion (Lk. 22:12), and outpouring of the Spirit (Acts 1:13) lived by God’s people in the upper room.

Legal and Association Aspects:

This organization is registered with the State of Michigan and has charity 501(c)(3) status from the IRS. In 1999, URFM was accepted as a ministry-member of the Association of Exchanged Life Ministries (AELM). URFM desires to minister without any discrimination to all people in need.

URFM’s Mission Statement:

URFM is committed to make disciples and to equip leaders for the Kingdom of God. URFM, under the guidance of the Holy Spirit ministers for the spiritual growth of every member of Christ’s Body in order that each would achieve the final intention – the fullness of Jesus.

Please pray for Valy & Elena, their family, partners and friends, and all URFM associates and supporters.

May God richly bless you all.
